As of March 1, 2009 the Ocean City ~ Wright Fire Control District has become a certified American Heart Association Training Site! This allows our department to teach lifesaving skills such as CPR, First Aid, and use of an AED. Training opportunities are available to the public and follow the standards set forth by the American Heart Association. CPR can make the difference between the life and death of a loved one. It can double or even triple a cardiac arrest victim’s chance of survival!

The American Heart Association is a worldwide leader in first aid, CPR, and AED training – educating more than 22 million people globally in CPR each year. Click here for more interesting statistics and facts.

The Ocean City-Wright Fire Control District is an authorized American Heart Association Training Site. Our Training Site and all of our AHA Instructors are aligned with the Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, FL as our American Heart Association Training Center.

We offer CPR and First Aid Training courses for healthcare professionals, the general public, and the general community. The healthcare professional course audience consists of doctors, nurses, EMT’s, paramedic’s, first responders and anyone else who may require a completion card for their job. Courses for the general public are intended for those who need a course completion card for their job and have little to no medical training. These classes are perfect for childcare workers, health & fitness instructors, construction workers and more. We also offer classes for people who simply want to learn CPR and a course completion card is not required.
