ALS SERVICE DETAILS
At 7:00 a.m. October 1, 2008 the Ocean City-Wright Fire Control District began providing Advanced Life Support. By providing Advanced Life Support, or ALS, the OCWFCD is able to deliver a much higher level of care at emergency scenes. The delivery of ALS requires Paramedics, advanced equipment, and advanced skills. ALS is a huge step up from BLS (Basic Life Support) care. Simply stated, ALS provides patients with more life saving options in pre hospital care.
